JOHNS DISPOSAL - 2026 Schedule & Information

Effective on January 1st, 2026, Johns Disposal will be providing both trash and recycling collection to the Village of Darien. Please read the following information regarding FREE services such as smaller trash bins, bulk item pick up, and tire recycling.

Alternate Trash Bin Sizes
Johns Disposal issues 96 gallon trash bins, but they also have smaller 48 gallon trash bins. 
If you would like a smaller, 48 gallon bin, please call Johns to arrange a bin exchange at no cost to you!

Bulk Item Policy
Each resident is allowed to schedule one pickup of bulk items per month at no additional charge.
Prior to placing your bulk item(s) at the curb, you MUST call Johns Disposal to schedule your pick-up.

Tire Recycling
Johns Disposal will pick up two tires per property at one time, maximum of eight times per property per year. Again, prior to placing your tires at the curb, you MUST call Johns Disposal to schedule your FREE tire pickup.
