Citizen’s Services Module:
On April 30, 2020 the City of Delavan Police Department launch our Citizen Service website. The website is an online reporting website that allows individuals to file online reports for minor crimes that occur in the City of Delavan or Village of Darien police jurisdiction. The purpose of online reporting is that it provides a convenient way to file a police report that does not require a police response. Individuals can also make anonymous tips and view crime statistics through the Citizen Service website.
Citizens who reside in the Village of Darien and City of Delavan can become registered users of the website. Registered users have the ability to request services such as extra patrols, vacation/house checks and request overnight parking exceptions. The website also provides registered users with the ability to share personalized information with their public safety providers. Citizens may also request accident and police reports through the Citizen Service website.
As of May 07, 2020 the website has approximately 15 registered users. Once a service request or online report is made and submitted the information is immediately recorded in the police departments record management system and an email notification is made to the website administrator as well as the individual filing the report or request. The individual will also immediately receive a case or service number. Service requests and online reports will typically be reviewed by department staff in less than 24 hours after submission.
Any questions regarding the Citizen Service website can be emailed to Lt. David Markley at dmarkley@ci.delavan.wi.us
