Using Lots of Outside Water? Get a Deduct Meter!

Are you planning to fill a swimming pool or water your garden this summer?

If so, please visit Village Hall and pick up a deduct meter.

There is a $10 deposit that is charged to your account when you pick up a deduct meter. There is also a $6.75 monthly charge to rent the meter. Upon return of the meter, the Village will credit the $10 deposit back to the account along with the sewer charges for the water that went through the meter. As such, to make the meter rental worthwhile, you must use at least 2,000 gallons of water the first month and at least 1,000 gallons of water for each month thereafter. If you do not plan to use that much water, renting the meter will cost more money than the credit will save.
